<a href="https://terracesatlawrence.com/" rel="nofollow noopener" target="_blank">The Terraces at Lawrence</a> is celebrating the release of 'Home, anew: 250 Voices of Belonging and Community, Celebrating Our Nation's 250th Year,' a commemorative book featuring over 250 stories and reflections from residents, family and team members across&nbsp;<a href="https://mqshealth.com/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow noopener">Marquis Health Consulting Services'</a> senior living portfolio. The book is a collection of original essays that explore themes of home, resilience and connection, emphasizing the importance of community as America celebrates its 250th birthday. The Terraces at Lawrence invites the public to attend a book signing and release party for 'Home, anew' on Thursday, July 2 at 2 p.m. to meet the voices from this community that were selected to contribute their stories to the book. Some residents will also read their personal stories aloud.
'Home, anew' is now available for purchase on Amazon and all proceeds will be donated to the American Heart Association. July 2: Book Signing and Release Party for 'Home, anew,' A Powerful Book Celebrating America 250

New Jersey's capital city is preparing a monumental celebration to mark America's 250th Birthday, and&nbsp;everyone is invited.&nbsp;&nbsp;"Heritage Week", running from July 3-8, 2026, will feature a multi-cultural parade&nbsp;beginning 11:30 a.m. on July 4th with over 50 marching units, including 4 marching bands and10 floats, as well as circus&nbsp;performers, antique cars and representations of the many cultures and ethnic groups which make up the Trenton community. The parade will be followed by a multi-cultural festival entitled, "Democracy Reborn," from 1:30 - 5 pm in Mill Hill Park, site of the Battle of Trenton.&nbsp;The festival will feature food, live music, an escape room, soccer clinics, and more than 40 crafters and tabling&nbsp;civic organizations.&nbsp;&nbsp; On July 4th, free parking will be provided in the City's five municipal parking garages.&nbsp; A visitors' center at&nbsp;1 West State Street - the site of Washington's reception in 1789 - will guide guests to the many&nbsp;events and historic sites throughout the city. Programs continue on July 5th at 2 pm with an ecumenical service in the same church at which wounded&nbsp;Hessian soldiers were brought during the Battle of Trenton in 1776, as well as walking tours, and&nbsp;a potluck supper. At noon on July 8th, the City will re-enact the Proclamation of the Declaration of Independence at&nbsp;the same time and place - 23 South Warren Street - as the first such reading in 1776. A second&nbsp;reading at 6 p.m., July 8th, will include a concert by the 55 musicians of the Blawenburg Band&nbsp;performing, "The Battle of Trenton," composed in 1792 by James Hewitt and dedicated to&nbsp;George Washington.&nbsp; All programs are free and open to the public.&nbsp; Heritage Week is sponsored by the&nbsp;City of Trenton and the Trenton Kiwanis Club.&nbsp; Full details are found at - <a target="_blank" href="https://trentonnj.org/832/Trenton-Heritage-week." rel="nofollow noopener">https://trentonnj.org/832/Trenton-Heritage-week.</a>
