Candlelight Vigil For Victims Of Charlottesville Violence In Hopewell Tuesday Night
The candlelight vigil will take place at Hopewell United Methodist Church.

Hopewell United Methodist Church is inviting the community to a candlelight vigil in the aftermath of the weekend violence in Charlottesville, Virginia. The vigil takes place on Tuesday night, Aug. 15, 7 p.m. on the sanctuary steps outside the church, 20 Blackwell Avenue in Hopewell, weather permitting.
The event is “for anyone who would like to stand together in solidarity as a united community for peace and love in a time of hatred, conflict, and violence in our country and around the world,” according to a post on the church’s website.
The event is sponsored by the Hopewell Council of Churches. It follows an event in Princeton on Sunday that drew hundreds of people to Palmer Square in Princeton, according to Planet Princeton. The “We Stand With Charlottesville” rally was put together by several local groups.
