Carcinogen Found At Lawrence Baseball Fields, Report Says
Benzopyrene, a carcinogen found in cigarette smoke and auto exhaust, has been located on baseball fields in Lawrence, a report said.

"High levels" of benzopyrene, a carcinogen found in cigarette smoke and auto exhaust, have been located on varsity baseball fields in Lawrence, according to a report by NJ.com.
The chemical, found on the fields located at the middle and high school campus, prompted additional soil testing of all the fields in the district, the report said.
"We know it's not the whole field because we took multiple tests on that field and not every test came back positive. Only one area did, so now we want to know just how big that area is," business administrator Tom Eldridge told the website.
