Democrats Sweep Lawrence Township Council Race

Incumbent Michael Powers and his Democratic running mates Cathleen Lewis and David Maffei are the winners of the race for Lawrence Township Council, according to preliminary General Election vote tallies from the township clerk’s office.

The three Democrats defeated Republican candidates Kyle Collins, Colette Coolbaugh and Falk Engle.

The preliminary vote totals, according to the township clerk’s office, are:

Democrats:

• Powers – 3,185
• Lewis – 2,977
• Maffei – 2,863

Republicans:

• Engle – 2,112
• Collins – 2,023
• Coolbaugh – 1,991
