Driver Killed After SUV Veers Off Road, Strikes Parked Van In Mercer

Linda McBride's SUV veered off the road and slammed into a parked vehicle on a driveway, Hamilton police said.

MERCER COUNTY, NJ - A 55-year-old Hamilton resident was killed in a fatal crash Sunday night, Hamilton Police said.

Linda McBride’s SUV veered off the road and slammed into a parked vehicle, police said Monday.

On Oct. 30, at 10:15 p.m. McBride was traveling southbound on Whitehorse Mercerville Road, near Godfrey Drive, when she crossed over the northbound lane and left the road, police said.

The Buick she was driving then struck a Ford Van that was parked on the driveway of 779 Whitehorse Mercerville Road, before coming to a stop against the retaining wall, police said.

McBride was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Hamilton Police Traffic Division is investigating the crash. Anyone with information is asked to call 609-581-4000.
