Drug Take Back Event In Mercer County April 27

The event will give Mercer County residents the chance to dispose of unneeded and expired prescription drugs.

The Mercer County Sheriff’s Office will host an Operation Take Back NJ drug collection event on Saturday, April 27, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Residents can bring their unused or expired medications tothe parking lot across from the Mercer County Administration Building at 640 South Broad Street in Trenton.

The event will give Mercer County residents the chance to dispose of unneeded and expired prescription drugs. The goal is to help local residents to rid their medicine cabinets of unused and easily abused opioid painkillers, in addition to any other unneeded prescription medications.

“The dangers of abuse and addiction can begin right from your own medicine cabinet,” Mercer County Sheriff Jack Kemler said. “So, please look through your medicine cabinet and gather up your unused or expired medications, especially any opioid painkillers.”
