Mercer County residents have a chance to join the battle against prescription drug abuse this weekend.

Mercer County residents have a chance to join the battle against prescription drug abuse this weekend. The Mercer County Sheriff’s Office will host a Prescription Drug Take Back Day on Saturday, April 29, 10 a.m.-2 p.m., in the parking lot across from the Mercer County Administration Building at 640 South Broad Street in Trenton. The National Prescription Drug Take-Back Day aims to provide a safe, convenient, and responsible means of disposing of prescription drugs, while also educating the general public about the potential for abuse of medications.
Police will dispose of the controlled substances in a safe and non – hazardous manner, preventing these pills from falling into the hands of juveniles or the hands of drug dealers.
