Early Dismissal For Lawrence Schools Amid Cornavirus Concerns
The district will have an early dismissal on Friday so teachers can prepare for remote learning if coronavirus becomes an issue.
LAWRENCE TOWNSHIP, NJ — The Lawrence Township Public School District will have an early dismissal on Friday as the district prepares for the possibility of home-based learning due to coronavirus.
“As you know, information surrounding the coronavirus outbreak changes rapidly,” Superintendent of Schools Ross Kasun said Thursday afternoon. “Based on information I received today, we have made the decision to have an Early Dismissal Day for students tomorrow...Friday, March 13. Staff will use the afternoon to continue planning remote instruction resources, delivery, and protocols.”
Parents who use the after-school YMCA child care program should contact the organization at 609-599-9622, ext. 303 to learn about coverage for Friday afternoon, school officials advised.

Additionally, the Lawrence Middle School's performance of "Frozen Junior," set for March 12-14 has been postponed.
