The Greater Princeton Steinway Society presents Brazilian composer, singer and pianist, Luiz Simas in a contemporary piano performance, Sunday afternoon, March 18, 2012 at 3 p.m. at Jacobs Music Company, 2540 Brunswick Pike, Lawrenceville, NJ.
Born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and living in New York since 1989, Simas has given sold-out performances in several venues such as the Weill Recital Hall of Carnegie Hall and in jazz clubs such as Birdland in New York City. His program will include his newest work, “Mata Atlantica (Atlantic Forest) Piano Suite,” following by music by Nazareth, Bittencourt, Pernambuco and some of his original “chorinhos.”
