Ewing Man Wanted On Pa. Armed Robbery Parole Violation Arrested In Wall: Police
The man and two others were arrested outside a convenience store; all three had active warrants and gave false IDs, police said.

WALL, NJ — A Mercer County man who was wanted in Bucks County, Pa., on a parole violation in an armed robbery has been arrested in Wall Township, according to authorities.
Andre R. Alston, 24, of Oakland Drive in Ewing gave officers a fake name and a fake birthdate during an incident Aug. 8 at the CVS on Route 71, according to Detective Lt. Greg Carpino and the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office.
Alston was one of three men arrested during the incident, which happened about 3:45 p.m. on Aug. 8, Carpino said. Alston, Kyle L. Silvis, 24, of Trenton, and Imani McNeil, 20, of Delaware, were arrested after Wall police responded to a report of a suspicious incident, Carpino said.

During the investigation, Alston gave police the name Ahmad Smith, and told them his birthdate, with the year 1990, according to the criminal complaint released by the prosecutor's office. There was an active warrant from Bucks County out for Alston's arrest for violating his parole, according to the prosecutor's office. Alston spent time in jail after admitting his role in a 2010 armed robbery in Morrisville, according to news accounts.
Alston was charged with possession of marijuana as well as hindering his own apprehension by giving the fake information, and is being held without bail at the Monmouth County Correctional Institute, according to jail records.

Silvis was charged with possession of marijuana under 50 grams and hindering his own apprehension as well, Carpino said. Silvis also was wanted on an active warrant, for $1,500, out of Millstone. He remains in the Monmouth County jail in lieu of bail. Information on the Millstone warrant was not immediately available.
McNeil was charged with possession of marijuana under 50 grams and hindering his own apprehension, and he was wanted on an active warrant, for $120, out of Trenton. His bail was set at $1,500, which he has since posted, according to jail records.
Wall Township Patrolman Kevin Orender, Patrolman Kevin Wagner and Patrolman Michael Tancredi made the arrests.
