Fall Lacrosse Program - Competitive Clinic

The Lawrence Lacrosse Club is excited to introduce Competitive Clinics for boys in 2nd through 8th grade this fall. The clinics will consist of six, ninety-minute sessions held on Saturday nights from 9/14 through 10/19. Sessions will be held under the lights with the 2nd, 3rd and 4th grade team training from 6:00 to 7:30pm, the 5th and 6th grade team training from 7:00 to 8:30pm and the 7th and 8th grade team training from 7:30 to 9:00pm. Clinics will be held in Village Park in Lawrence Township on the Yeger Drive side of the park. The cost of the program is $30 and participants are required to become members of US Lacrosse (USLacrosse.org) for insurance purposes. US Lacrosse charges $25 for a membership, which is valid for one year. Players should provide their own equipment including: a helmet, a lacrosse stick, chest and arm pads, gloves and a mouth guard. The club does have a limited number of sets of equipment that are available for new players to borrow with a deposit.

The competitive clinics are being offered to further develop player’s skills in the off-season and to introduce new players to lacrosse in a relaxed environment. The focus will be on fine-tuning lacrosse stick skills in scooping, cradling, catching, passing, dodging, etc. while having fun.
