Fatal Motor Vehicle Crash in Mercer County: Police

A 50-year-old Jackson male lost his life from the collision.

Hamilton, NJ -- A Jackson resident lost his life when he collided with a Hamilton driver on Hempstead Road on Aug. 22 at around 3:45 p.m, the Hamilton Police Department said.

The 50-year-old male from Jackson was driving a 2012 Kia Optima southbound on Hempstead Road when he collided with a 2014 Ford F150 Pickup Truck driven by the 31-year-old Hamilton man traveling westbound on Arena Drive, police said.

Whitehorse and Rusling Fire Departments had to extricate the Jackson man from his vehicle, police report.

The Jackson man was transported by ambulance to Capital Health System at Fuld, where he succumbed to his injuries, police said.

The Hamilton man was unharmed.
