Free Affordable Care Act Enrollment Assistance in Mercer County in January

Trenton, N.J. -- People seeking health care coverage under the Affordable Care Act (ACA) can receive free enrollment assistance during January at Mercer County’s McDade Administration Building in Trenton and the Mercer County Connection office in Hamilton.

The open enrollment period for the ACA 2016 coverage ends Jan. 31.

Trained enrollment assisters will be at the County Administration Building, 640 South Broad Street on Wednesdays and Fridays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. to help people compare health plans and fill out applications.

Walk-ins are welcome. Trained enrollment assisters will be at County Connection, 957 Route 33 in the Acme Shopping Center, on Mondays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Thursdays from noon to 7 p.m., as well as Saturday, Jan. 30, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Enrollment assistance at County Connection is by appointment only. “This is a great opportunity for people who want help in accessing quality, affordable health coverage before the enrollment period closes,” Mercer County Executive Brian M. Hughes said. “I urge anyone who needs health insurance to take advantage of this in-person assistance.”

Enrollment assistance is provided by Health Insurance Marketplace SRA, which is federally contracted to help with the ACA enrollment process.

People planning to enroll should bring the following information for all household members: Social Security numbers, birth dates, employer and income information (pay stubs or W-2 forms), and policy numbers for any health insurance plans.
