Fugitive Arrested, Guns Drugs Seized In Mercer County: Sheriff
Four other people were also arrested for trying to cover up for Najim Dawkins, of Trenton.
MERCER COUNTY, NJ - A fugitive was arrested, and two guns and drugs were seized from a home in Mercer County last week, Sheriff Jack Kemler announced. Detectives arrested Najir Dawkins, 21, at a home on the 200 block of Highland Avenue in Trenton on Monday, Nov. 19.
Dawkins was wanted on two warrants. When detectives went to his home, they came across four people at the house who lied about where Dawkins was, Kemler said. Ultimately, the detectives found Dawkins hiding in a crawl space on the third floor of the home.
Detectives were then given consent to search the home further, and said they recovered a 12-gauge shotgun, a Ruger 7.62 rifle, angel dust, marijuana and assorted drug paraphernalia. All five people were arrested.
