Winter Kitchen
Saturday, Feb. 19, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Howell Living History Farm, Hopewell Township
Kids can visit the farm’s circa 1900 kitchen and help prepare a noontime farmer’s dinner. Children can pitch in to make the meal, and can help with activities like churning butter, collecting wood for the fire, preparing biscuits and vegetables and collecting eggs. Admission is free; for $2, kids can make a pot holder.
Tots on Tour!
Saturday, Feb. 19, 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.
Grounds for Sculpture, Visitors’ Center, 18 Fairground Road, Hamilton
Children ages 3 to 5 can explore the park, listen to a story and make a work of art. Must be accompanied by an adult; the Tots on Tour! program is free with paid admission to the park, but space is limited and admission to program is on a first-come, first-serve basis. Tots on Tour! participants get a discounted rate at the Peacock Café onsite.
Children’s story and book-signing
Saturday, Feb. 19, 11:30 a.m.
Barnes and Noble, MarketFair, Route 1, West Windsor
Author/illustrator Victoria Kann will be on hand to read a story and sign books. Free ticket distribution starts at 10 a.m. Free giveaways; children are encouraged to dress like characters from Kann’s books: Pinkalicious, Cupid, Easter Bunny or Christmas Elf. For more information.
Art for Families
Saturday, Feb. 19, 10:30 a.m. - 1 p.m.
Princeton University Art Museum, Princeton
Drop in anytime to learn about everyday life in Renaissance Italy. Enjoy a self-guided, interactive tour and related art project. Free, no tickets or registration are necessary.
Craft Your Own Carry-All Bag
Saturday, Feb. 19, 10 a.m.-noon

Kids ages 12 and up can learn how to turn a T-shirt into a fun tote. Free with the purchase of a T-shirt.
