MERCER COUNTY, NJ — Mercer County and New Jersey has seen an uptick in coronavirus cases. But what does that mean for the county?

As of Friday, although the county reported a drop in COVID-19 cases, it also recorded a CIVD-19-related death. The County reported 47 new coronavirus cases and one death. The cumulative total of coronavirus cases now stands at 36, 526, with 962 confirmed deaths since the pandemic began last year.

Mercer County has "moderate" COVID activity, according to New Jersey's latest COVID-19 activity report (week ending Oct. 16). The determination is based on metrics such as case rate, positivity rate, and prevalence of COVID-like illnesses.
