MERCER COUNTY, NJ — Mercer County and New Jersey has seen an uptick in coronavirus cases. But what does that mean for the county?
This week the County reported a 27 percent increase in COVID-19 cases. As of Friday, the County reported 40 new coronavirus cases, but no related deaths. The cumulative total of coronavirus cases now stands at36,807 with 965 confirmed deaths since the pandemic began last year.
Mercer County has "moderate" COVID activity, according to New Jersey's latest COVID-19 activity report (week ending Oct. 16). The determination is based on metrics such as case rate, positivity rate, and prevalence of COVID-like illnesses.
