Inmate Stabbed During Fight At Mercer County Jail: Officials
The injured inmate was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, authorities said. A homemade shank was used in the attack.
MERCER COUNTY, NJ — An inmate was stabbed during a fight at the Mercer County Correctional Facility on Sept. 19, officials said.
The fight occurred on the night of Sept. 19 between several inmates at the facilities New Commitment Unit, a County spokesperson told Patch.
One of the inmates involved in the fight had a homemade shank, which he used to stab another inmate, the spokesperson said.

The injured inmate was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and was returned to the Correction Center later. Authorities have recovered the weapon, the spokesperson said.
The incident is currently under investigation and at this time, no charges have been filed.
