Lawrence BOE Is Looking For Candidates To Fill Unexpired Term
A board member was recently removed for not meeting the state training mandate.
LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ – The Lawrence Township Board of Education is seeking candidates to fill an unexpired term after a board member was removed for not meeting the state training mandate.
Johnson was removed from the board based on a decision from the School Ethics Commission dated May 24.
He was required to complete a mandated training program by Dec. 31, 2021.

Candidates interested to fill the seat submit their letter of interest via email to Thomas Eldridge, Board Secretary, at TEldridge@ltps.org by Sept. 21.
Letters should include the candidate’s relevant background and a statement explaining why they are interested in becoming a board member.

The candidate must be a citizen of the United States and must be at least 18 years old. he or she must be registered to vote in Lawrence Township.
The board will appoint a candidate during the Oct. 12 meeting and they will serve through the first week of January 2024.
