Lawrence Football Team Drops Season Opener to Ewing

Ewing High School football coach Drew Bresler did something he hadn’t done in 13 years Friday night: he coached his team to a win over Lawrence.

Ewing defeated Lawrence, 41-18, in the season opener for both teams Friday night, according to nj.com.

Edamiyon Doggett threw a pair of touchdown passes to Ri’quan Smalley and Juwan McKinney had two touchdowns in the win.

Ewing’s win came in spite of a three-touchdown performance from Lawrence’s Davon Hemingway. Hemingway caught touchdown passes of 77 and 66 yards and ran another in from 2 yards out.
