LAWRENCE TOWNSHIP, NJ — Students at Lawrence High School are raising money to help underserved children in New Jersey. The school’s DECA members are raising money and collecting books for the Bridge of Books Foundation, the school announced on Friday. It is part of the students’ effort to complete the NJ DECA State Community Service Project.

The Bridge of Books Foundation is a non-profit organization whose mission is to provide an ongoing source of books to underserved children in New Jersey. The goal is to help develop literacy skills and encourage a love of reading.

Lawrence High School’s DECA, led by co-chairs Victoria Wierzbowicz and Sarah Zoll, has been holding fundraisers and book drives in order to help the foundation. Fundraisers have included a car wash, selling t-shirts and donuts, and holding a volleyball tournament.
