Lawrence Hopewell Trail Hosts Inaugural 5k Race At Rosedale Park

The Complete the Loop 5k and Fun Run raises funds to finish the 20-mile multi-use trail connecting Lawrence and Hopewell Townships.

LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ — The Lawrence Hopewell Trail will host its inaugural Complete the Loop 5k and Fun Run on Saturday, May 2 at Rosedale Park in Pennington.

The event is open to runners and walkers of all ages. Participants may choose between a timed 5k race, open to ages 8 and up, or a family-friendly Fun Run of approximately one mile.

Proceeds support the Lawrence Hopewell Trail's ongoing effort to complete its 20-mile multi-use loop connecting Lawrence and Hopewell Townships in Mercer County.

"Lawrence Township is proud to support the Lawrence Hopewell Trail and the effort to complete the 20-mile loop," said Lawrence Township Mayor Christopher Bobbitt. "Events like the 'Complete the Loop 5K' not only help support the trail's continued growth but also help build connections between our two communities."

Race morning will begin with a pre-race warm-up led by Fluid Physio, followed by music from DJ ItsJustAhmad throughout the event. A medal ceremony for top finishers will follow the race. Attendees can also visit a community partner area featuring local businesses, organizations and nonprofits.

Packet pickup takes place Friday, May 1 from 3 to 7 p.m. at Fleet Feet Princeton on Nassau Street. Participants who pick up their packet during that window will receive 10% off in-store purchases that day.

The Lawrence Hopewell Trail Corporation is a nonprofit organization. Bristol Myers Squibb is the Navigator sponsor for the event. Adventurer sponsors include NJM Insurance Group, Fleet Feet Princeton and Clinical Research Philadelphia.
