Lawrence Hopewell Trail Plans Community Meeting, Seeks Feedback

The 22-mile bicycle and walking trail is about 90 percent complete, according to the group.

LAWRENCE TOWNSHIP, NJ — With about 90 percent of its 22-mile bicycle and walking trail project complete, the Lawrence Hopewell Trail Corporation is planning a community meeting for November, the group announced this week. Before that meeting, the group is seeking comment and feedback from area residents.

To participate in the survey, visit http://www.surveygizmo.com/s3/3603470/LHTCommunitySurvey. The Lawrence Hopewell Trail (LHT) is a 22+ mile bicycle and pedestrian trail and transportation corridor through public and private land in Lawrence and Hopewell townships.

The LHT supports an active, livable and sustainable community with alternative forms of transportation to reduce the reliance on automobiles. It also promotes health and fitness, recreation and outdoor education. The Lawrence Hopewell Trail Corporation is a nonprofit organization that depends on the community for support. It is not supported by local tax money.
