Lawrence To Mark Nation's 250th With Fireworks, Live Music At Rider U.

Jake's Rockin Country Band headlines the July 1 event, with fireworks launching at 9:30 p.m.

LAWRENCVILLE, NJ - Lawrence Township will mark the nation's 250th anniversary with a fireworks celebration July 1 at Rider University, featuring live music, children's entertainment and a special appearance by Benjamin Franklin.

Jake's Rockin Country Band will perform from 7 to 9:30 p.m., followed by the fireworks display at 9:30 p.m. A Ben Franklin character, sponsored by the Lawrence Historical Society, will stroll the grounds and greet guests from 7 to 9 p.m.

Activities include food trucks, a Bubble Guy performance from 7 to 8 p.m., a Cub Scouts Pack 206 kids coloring table, and glow sticks available for purchase to support the Fireworks Fund.
