Lawrence Resident Killed After Car Crashes Into Body Of Water Off 1-295: NJSP

LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ - A 47-year-old Lawrenceville resident was killed in a fatal crash Sunday morning in Hamilton, New Jersey State Police said.

Rajbir Singh was driving northbound on I-295 in Hamilton Township at 7:25 a.m. on Sunday.

In the area of milepost 63.2, his car ran off the road to the right, traveled up an embankment, became airborne, and overturned, State Police said.

The car hit a chain link fence and multiple trees, and landed partially submerged in a body of water, authorities said.

Singh sustained fatal injuries in the crash. The Hamilton Fire Department responded to the crash to help remove Singh from the water.

The crash remains under investigation.
