Lawrence School Staff, Community Donate Bags To Adopted Seniors

There was a festive atmosphere as cars lined up in front of the Lawrence High School to drop off bags for their adopted seniors.

LAWRENCE TOWNSHIP, NJ — Staff from throughout the Lawrence Township Public School District and a few community members dropped off their bags to seniors they adopted in front of Lawrence Township High School on June 12, the district announced.

There was a festive atmosphere as cars lined up in front of the school at their designated pick-up time.

The Lawrence Township Education Association (LTEA) provided the bags containing the student's cap and gown, two tickets to the June 19 graduation photo op, a large towel from the Project Graduation Committee, and certificates from Moe's and dorm.com.

Those adopting a senior also provided their adoptee with a small gift to celebrate their success as they end their high school career. Lawrence High School Senior Class Advisor Tara Huber organized the special recognition. A video of the event can be seen here.
