Lawrence Schools To Go Ahead With Fall Varsity Sports

Students from Grades 9-12, who are interested in playing a sport this fall, can contact the head coaches.

LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ — Lawrence Township Public Schools has decided to go ahead with the fall season for Lawrence High School varsity sports. The district made the announcement on Thursday.

“We will begin by staggering practices and will follow rules set by the NJ State Interscholastic Athletic Association (NJSIAA),” the district told parents in a Facebook post.

Football and hockey practices may begin Sep. 11, for heat acclimation purposes. Practices for other sports may begin Sep. 14, informed the district.

Students from Grades 9-12, who are interested in playing a sport this fall, can contact the head coaches.

Meanwhile, the head coaches of all sports will hold a town hall next week to provide students and parents with more information.
