LAWRENCE TOWNSHIP, NJ — The Lawrence Township Public School District is evaluating ways to reopen in the fall, and it is seeking input from the community.
“School will have to be different to keep students, staff and families safe during the pandemic,” the district said in a statement issued on Wednesday. “We are requesting that you complete a more comprehensive questionnaire than the survey we sent in mid-June.”
Earlier this month, Gov. Phil Murphy issued a list of rules and guidelines for reopening schools this fall amid the coronavirus outbreak. Boards of education were given flexibility that "recognizes and respects" the differences between districts, he said.

“Your feedback is valuable and crucial to helping us make final decisions regarding what reopening schools in September will look like,” the district said. “As you walk through the survey, you will be able to respond for whatever level (elementary, intermediate, middle, or high) of school that your child(ren) attends.”
Parents will have until 4 p.m. on July 15 to complete the survey. It is available here.
