Lawrence Students Net High Scores On English PARCC Testing

LAWRENCE TOWNSHIP, NJ — Students in the Lawrence Township Public School District post consistently high grades when it comes to the English portion of PARCC testing. The district-by-district, school-by-school PARCC results have been released.

Students in all grades that took the test performed in the "Level 4" and "Level 5" areas, which is between the scores of 750 and 850, the latter being a perfect score. It is important to note also that many students opted out of taking the exam, though New Jersey hasn't said how many.

The break down for the English scores on the PARCC testing for Lawrence Township Public School students can be found below:

3rd: Lawrence Twp, Mercer 752
4th: Lawrence Twp, Mercer 753

5th: Lawrence Twp, Mercer 750
6th: Lawrence Twp, Mercer 752
7th: Lawrence Twp, Mercer 768
8th: Lawrence Twp, Mercer 760
9th: Lawrence Twp, Mercer 764
10th: Lawrence Twp, Mercer 762
11th: Lawrence Twp, Mercer 751

The PARCC tests have been a source of controversy for years, and Gov. Phil Murphy has talked for nearly year about finding replacements for the Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers test.
