Lawrence Township Blizzard 2026: School Closure, Office Closings & More

Here's what residents need to know about services, trash pickup and water emergencies during the storm:

LAWRENCE TOWNSHIP, NJ — Lawrence Township Public Schools will be closed Monday, Feb. 23, 2026, due to an impending winter storm. All after-school activities and evening programs have also been canceled.

A major winter storm is bringing blizzard conditions across New Jersey, prompting Gov. Mikie Sherrill to declare a state of emergency. The National Weather Service forecast 10 to 20 inches of snow, with the heaviest snowfall expected Sunday night into Monday morning. Wind gusts in coastal counties could reach 55 mph, with snowfall rates possibly exceeding 2 inches per hour.

All Lawrence Township municipal offices will be closed Monday. Officials said offices will reopen as conditions allow, with updates to be provided as they become available. For emergencies, residents should call 911. For non-emergency inquiries, residents can visit the township website.
