Lawrence Twp. Could See Delays In Waste Pick-Up Due To COVID

Residents may experience delays in services as Solterra Recycling Solutions workers have been impacted by COVID-19.

LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ — Solterra Recycling Solutions said they are experiencing a high volume of "call outs" due to staff testing positive for omicron or being in close contact. As a result, Lawrence Township residents may experience delays in services due to a limited workforce, the contractor told Municipality officials.

"Solterra Recycling Solutions remains fully committed to pursuing the completion of services in a safe, diligent and reasonable manner," the company said. "We must recognize, however, there is a strong likelihood that we may encounter delays in service as a result of the limited workforce."

This shortage has also affected garbage pick-up in towns like Princeton and East Brunswick, which also use the services of Solterra.
