LHS Senior Honored with Sportsmanship Award

Three-sport standout Marisa Visco received this year's Renee Keister award.

The Golden Wave Club, a group of former Trenton Catholic Boys High School athletes, honored local athletes at its annual Fr. Clarence O'Shea Memorial Awards Breakfast on May 5.

Lawrence High School (LHS) senior and three-sport standout Marisa Visco will receive this year's Renee Keister award, presented to a CVC senior who, though not the team's top scorer, has distinguished herself as a team leader displaying tremendous sportsmanship and team pride.

The award is named in honor of a former McCorristin High School student who was paralyzed in a fall while on her way to becoming one of the CVC's best athletes.

Visco helped the Cardinals girls basketball team achieve a 20-7 record, which was the best in Lawrence High School history. LHS would go on to take second in the Colonial Valley Conference's Patriot Division. The Cards also went to the championship of the Mercer County Tournament for the first time in history.

Visco was honored May 5 at the Scottish Rite Hall on Dunns Mills Road in Bordentown at the annual Fr. Clarence O’Shea Memorial Awards breakfast starting at 11 a.m.
