Loaded Gun Found In Florida Man’s Bag At Trenton-Mercer Airport
This was the first gun caught at the airport checkpoint this year, authorities said.
MERCER COUNTY, NJ - A Florida man was arrested by police on Dec. 18, after a loaded .380 caliber handgun was found in his carry-on bag at the Trenton-Mercer Airport security checkpoint, authorities said.
The man was also carrying a pellet gun and two loaded gun magazines. Pellet guns are not permitted through security.
This was the first gun caught at the airport checkpoint this year, authorities said.

“Our officers are good at their jobs and are focused on their mission—especially during the busy holiday travel period,” Thomas Carter, TSA’s Federal Security Director for New Jersey said.
The man was arrested by the Mercer County Sheriff’s Department and charged. Information on charges was not immediately available.
