Man Burglarizes Vehicle After Making Court Appearance In Mercer: PD

Jewels C. Davis was charged with burglary to a vehicle and is awaiting trial, Hamilton Police said.

MERCER COUNTY, NJ - Police have charged a man who burglarized a vehicle immediately after making a court appearance, Hamilton Police said.

Jewels C. Davis was taken into custody on Aug. 1 and charged with burglary to a vehicle, police said.

On July 28, the vehicle was parked in the parking lot of the Hamilton Township Court located at 1270 Whitehorse-Mercerville Road.

Davis made a court appearance in the Hamilton Township Court on an unrelated matter that day. He exited the court and then went to the parked vehicle, entered it and removed personal items from it, according to police.

Davis was charged, processed and is awaiting trial, police said.
