Man Charged After Video Captures Lawrence Twp. Garage Burglaries

Police say video surveillance helped identify the 54-year-old accused of stealing from detached garages in January and February.

LAWRENCE TOWNSHIP, NJ — A 54-year-old Trenton man was charged Tuesday in connection with two garage burglaries in Lawrence Township, police said.

Jeffery Frayne of Genesee Street was taken into custody Feb. 10 in the area of ShopRite on Olden Avenue in Ewing, according to the Lawrence Township Police Department.

Police said Frayne entered detached garages in the 800 block of Lawrence Road during overnight hours in January and February and stole items. Video surveillance captured the incidents, police said.

Frayne faces two counts of third-degree burglary and two counts of theft. He is being held at the Mercer County Correctional Center pending a detention hearing.
