Man Charged With Fondling Sleeping TCNJ Students

The man was arrested on Dec. 31 in connection with three incidents that took place in the fall.

A Bucks County man has been charged after authorities say he touched women while they were sleeping in dorms at The College of New Jersey, according to a statement issued by the school.

Jon Cannon, 25, of Levittown was arrested on Dec. 31 for three incidents involving criminal sexual contact that took place last fall, the college said. He was arrested as he reported to work in Collingswood, Camden County.

College officials thanked law enforcement for their work on the case.

"They were meticulous in their review of evidence and worked closely with the county prosecutor's office and local law enforcement agencies to bring the charges that led to his arrest," a college spokesperson said in the statement.

Cannon had previously been charged in similar incidents at Rider University, according to NJ.com.

Charging papers obtained by NJ.com allege Cannon entered the dorm and touched a female student on Dec. 22. He also a suspect in similar incidents on Sept. 10 and Oct. 21.
