Man Dead After Being Shot Multiple Times In Mercer County

The incident took place on Wednesday evening in Trenton. The Mercer County Homicide Task Force and the Trenton Police are investigating.

MERCER COUNTY, NJ — A man died after being shot multiple times in Trenton on Wednesday evening, the Mercer County Prosecutor's office said.

Around 5:25 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 17, Trenton police received a Shot Spotter activation for the 300 block of St. Joe’s Avenue. On arrival, officers found David Johnson, 39, a Trenton resident, with multiple gunshot wounds, authorities said.

Johnson was transported to Capital Health Regional Medical Center and pronounced dead a short time later.

The Mercer County Homicide Task Force and the Trenton Police Department are investigating the shooting.
