Man Dies In Fatal Mercer County House Fire: Prosecutor
After extinguishing the blaze, firefighters found the body of Brian Wharton, 57 inside the house in Trenton.
MERCER COUNTY, NJ - A Trenton resident died after a fire blazed through a home early Sunday morning, Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri said.
Brian Wharton, 57, was staying at the residence where the fire occurred, Onofri said.
After midnight on Sunday, the Trenton Fire Department was dispatched to a residence in the first block of Summer Street after midnight. Firefighters extinguished the blaze and found Wharton's body on the first floor, Onofri said.

The Mercer County Homicide Task Force and the Trenton Police Department are investigating the circumstances surrounding the fire and Wharton's death.
