Man Fatally Struck By Car Driven By Lawrence Woman: Princeton Police

According to Princeton police, the 70-year-old Ewing resident was performing landscaping work when he was fatally struck.

LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ – A 70-year-old Ewing resident died after he was struck by a Kia Forte driven by a Lawrenceville resident in Princeton Friday morning, police said.

Linda Simmins, 73, of Lawrenceville was driving south on Mercer Road, Princeton when she struck Salvatore Esposito-Dimarcant, authorities said.

According to preliminary investigation, Esposito-Dimarcant was standing in the southbound lane of Mercer Road, performing landscaping work when he was struck, Princeton police said.

Esposito-Dimarcant was taken to the Bristol Myer Squibb Trauma Center at Capital Health Regional where he later succumbed to his injuries.

The cause of the crash is currently under investigation.
