Man Shot Dead Outside Apartment In Mercer County: Prosecutor
Christopher MacLeod, 30, was found with multiple gunshot wounds on a grassy patch near his apartment building in Ewing, authorities said.
MERCER COUNTY, NJ – A 30-year-old man was found shot outside his apartment building in Ewing early on Wednesday morning, Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri said.
Just after 1 a.m. on Wednesday, Ewing police were dispatched to an apartment on Mid Way Lane on a report of shots fired. Officers searched the area and found Christopher MacLeod, 30, on a grassy patch near his apartment building, Onofri said.
He was been shot multiple times. MacLeod was taken to Capital Health Regional Medical Center where he was pronounced dead a few hours later.

According to preliminary investigation, MacLeod was home when there was a knock at his door. He responded and shots were heard moments later, Onofri said. Investigators believe this was not a random shooting with MacLeod being the intended target, Onofri said. Detectives found shell casings in the common walkway area between buildings.
