Man In Wheelchair Fatally Struck In Hit-and-Run Near Trenton Train Station
The man died hours after being struck near the Trenton Transit Center; detectives are asking the public for tips.
MERCER COUNTY, NJ - A 52-year-old man in a wheelchair was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver early Friday morning while crossing a street near the Trenton Transit Center, police said.
The man was crossing Greenwood Avenue at Hudson Street around 12:48 a.m. when he was struck by a vehicle that fled the scene.
He was taken to Capital Health Regional Medical Center, where he died Friday afternoon. He suffered multiple fractured ribs and a brain hemorrhage, authorities said.

Police have not released his name pending notification of relatives.
The suspect vehicle is described as a dark-colored SUV. Detectives have been reviewing surveillance footage from cameras in the area surrounding the crash site in an effort to develop leads.
