Maryland Man Indicted for Attempted Murder in Mercer County
Yoon S. Choi allegedly caused extensive damage to a 44-year-old Connecticut woman when he stabbed her in the neck with a knife at Subway.

A Maryland man has been indicted for allegedly stabbing his girlfriend in the neck while the two were at a Subway restaurant in Hamilton Township on Dec. 9, Acting Mercer County Prosecutor Angelo J. Onofri announced Monday morning.
The 44-year-old woman from Connecticut suffered extensive blood loss, nerve damage, and was forced to undergo multiple surgeries to repair her esophagus, Onofri said.
Yoon S. Choi, 48, of Silver Spring, Maryland, was charged with first-degree attempted murder, third-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and fourth-degree unlawful possession of a weapon.

Choi remains in the Mercer County Correction Center in lieu of $750,000 bail.
