Mercer Co. Man Killed At Amazon Construction Site In Pennsylvania

A 24-year-old Trenton man is dead after an accident at a construction site for a new Amazon Distribution Center.

MERCER COUNTY, NJ — A 24-year-old Mercer County man is dead after an accident at a construction site for a new Amazon Distribution Center in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania, authorities confirmed this week.

The incident occurred back on July 6 in East Norriton Township, at 53 West Germantown Pike.

Wilmer Danilo-Mejia Landaverde, 24, of Trenton, was killed when he fell while working at the site shortly before 3:50 p.m., the East Norriton Township Police Department said.

It is not yet clear what led to the fall, or exactly how high he fell from.

Landaverde was working for Poletto and Associates, a subcontractor of IMC Construction. Poletto and Associates had been hired to replace a portion of the roof of the structure, according to authorities.

Plymouth Ambulance was called to the scene and treated Landaverde at the site before a PennStar helicopter took him to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center in Philadelphia. He died later that day.

Police said they investigated the incident, and that all involved agencies cooperated fully.
