Mercer County Bank Robbed by Unknown Suspect Monday

Sun Bank at 411 NJ-33 in Trenton was robbed at around noon on Monday.

Trenton, NJ -- At around noon on Monday, Aug. 22, Hamilton Township police officers responded to a report of a bank robbery at the Sun Bank at 411 Route 33, Hamilton Township Police said.

A bank employee told the officers that a white male came into the bank, approached a bank teller and handed a note to the employee demanding money. The suspect seemed to be unarmed at the time of the robbery. The teller gave the suspect an undisclosed amount of cash and the suspect then exited the bank, police said. It's unclear what direction the suspect ran in.

The suspect is a white male standing at approximately 5'8 and weighs about 160 pounds. He was wearing white sneakers, a red shirt with a design, blue jeans, and a camouflage baseball cap, police said.
