Mercer County Collects Over 150 Pounds Of Unused & Expired Drugs
Residents disposed of a wide range of old medications during the Prescription Drug Take-Back Day, officials said.

MERCER COUNTY, NJ — Over 150 pounds of unused or expired drugs were collected on Saturday in Mercer County, Sheriff Jack Kemler said.
Residents disposed of a wide range of old medications, ranging from blood pressure and heart medications to dangerous opiate painkillers including OxyContin, during the Prescription Drug Take-Back Day.
“Our goal is to help residents rid their medicine cabinets of painkillers, in addition to other unneeded pills,” Kemler said. “By properly disposing of old prescription drugs, we help to prevent accidental use, abuse, and drug-related crimes.”
