Mercer County Economic Summit Set for March 8

The theme of the summit will be "Solutions to Protect and Grow Your Business."

The theme of this year’s Mercer County Economic and Technology Summit will be “Solutions to Protect and Grow Your Business,” county officials said on Monday.

The 11th annual summit takes place on Tuesday, March 8, 7:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Rider University’s Bart Luedeke Center in Lawrence.

Gene Waddy, CEO of Diversant LLC, and national, regional and local economic updates by James W. Hughes, dean of the Edward J. Bloustein School for Planning and Public Policy at Rutgers University will deliver keynote speeches.

Mercer County Executive Brian M. Hughes will deliver the Mercer County Economic Development Report, which will focus on business development and growth in the county.

There will also be a panel discussion titled “Making Technology Work for Your Business,” with Bill Bartzak, CEO of MDOnline; Christopher Rodriguez, director of the Office of Homeland Security for the State of New Jersey; and Christopher Mangano, vice president of sales and marketing for Mercadien Technologies.

Mary Sue Henifin, shareholder at Buchanan, Ingersoll & Rooney, will serve as moderator.

The event is presented by Hughes, the Mercer County Board of Chosen Freeholders and the Mercer County Office of Economic Development and Sustainability, in partnership with the Princeton Regional Chamber of Commerce (PRCC).
