Mercer County Man Busted With 40 Bags Of Heroin: Police

The Trenton man was also wanted on two warrants out of Camden County.

SECAUCUS, NJ — A Mercer County man was arrested after he was found with 40 bags of heroin in his car during a traffic stop in Secaucus last week, police said.

Alejo Burgos, 44, of Trenton, was also wanted on two outstanding warrants totaling $1,233 from Camden and Pennsauken. This prompted police to stop his car at about 9:32 a.m. on Wednesday, June 27, according to Secaucus Police Capt. Dennis Miller.

He said the officers had probable cause to search the vehicle, but would not elaborate on what that was. A search of the car turned up more than 40 bags of heroin, he said. Burgos was charged with heroin possession, and possession with intent to sell the drug. He was transported to the Hudson County Jail.
