Mercer County Men Indicted for Murder
Two Mercer County men are accused in the death of Chevin Burgess.

Two Trenton men are to stand trial for the murder of 22-year-old Chevin Burgess.
Joeryan Foreman, 20, and Calier Samad, 27, were each indicted indicted last week on counts of first-degree felony murder, first-degree robbery, second-degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, second-degree unlawful possession of a weapon and second-degree aggravated arson. Samad was also charged with one count of first-degree murder, according to the Mercer County prosecutor’s office.
Burgess was robbed by the two men and shot in the head on Jan. 4, the prosecutor’s office said in a news release. Foreman and Samad are accused of driving Burgess’ body to side of 104 Hart Avenue in Trenton and setting the vehicle on fire.

Both men remain in jail, Foreman on $600,000 bail and Samad on $1 million bail.
