Mercer County Sheriff's Office Helps Parents With Car Seat Issues
Nearly one-third of car seats inspected at the recent safety check were improperly installed, according to the sheriff's office.
LAWRENCEVILLE, NJ — Nearly one-third of the 37 car seats that were checked during the Mercer County Sheriff's Office’s free car seat safety check were installed improperly, the sheriff’s office said on Friday afternoon.
A team of trained and certified Mercer County Sheriff’s Officers inspected the seats at St. Lawrence Rehabilitation Center, 2381 Lawrenceville Road in Lawrenceville on Saturday, June 23. The 12 seats that were incorrectly installed were re-installed or adjusted to current national safety standards.
