Mercer County Surrogate Earns Statewide Honor

Diane Gerofsky was recently presented with the Gill C. Job Memorial Award for her service.

Mercer County Surrogate Diane Gerofsky has been recognized with a statewide award. Gerofsky was presented with the Gill C. Job Memorial Award at the Constitutional Officers Association of New Jersey (COANJ) annual conference in Atlantic City, county officials announced.

The annual award honors a state Constitutional Officer for their dedicated service to constituents and for advancing the ideals and principles of Constitutional Officers throughout New Jersey.

Gerofsky has served as Mercer County Surrogate Judge for the past 21 years. She was first elected to the position in 1996, and has been elected a total of five times. She has served as the organization’s secretary, vice president, and president.

Gerofsky has also served as Deputy Chief and Chief of the Surrogate Judges section of COANJ. In 2008, she was appointed as a State Representative to the National College of Probate Judges and she continues to serve in this distinguished position.
